This book grabbed me right away with its title. It sounded like something I had not read in a while.
First off the book is fun but a little over the top which is the only real down fall of the book. The main character was so over the top and such a brat that I found myself losing interest in her at many points through out the book. I myself have a hard time when it's the main character in books for younger readers that are so... well mean brats seems to be the only way to sum this up. So much so that I almost stopped reading the book twice because I could not take it.
But I do have to say once the karma started to kick in the book got really good. Say whatever you like about me but i love it when the nasty people get what is coming to them. I mean that there is some really nasty things that Izzy does in the book and she should get kicked in the pants. I really hope that people read this book and learn how to be good friends and that friends don't say mean things to each and are still honest. I did however really come to like the book by the end. It had a lot heart and a good message to it. It also did not play out way I would have thought. Which was really nice. Over the pretty good and I could see a lot of the young teens or tweens having a lot of fun reading it.

Book: North of Nowhere
I was a little hesitant about reading this book. When I was a kid I tried reading some of Liz Kessler's other books but I never could get into them. Over all I have to say that I was pretty impressed.
I found that the writing and the story much better than I thought.
The pace was very quick. Some times to fast. But I think it will be great for younger readers who have a hard reading will like this book and will have a hard time putting it down. The story with it's little twists and tricks will be sure to be a hit.
Also add to it interesting and well layered characters. The characters all of them were surprisingly life like. Over all I think that this is a book that many young writers will like and find worth to be worth the time. Great way to keep the kids busy this winter without using video games and TV.

Book: Mini Review: Hope
I had read the first one in the series and though they are a little younger than what I normally read I thought I would give it a try. This book is one that fans of the Wish will like this. Its a fun read and the art is wonderful. But I found the story lacking in this one myself. The story of this was very easy to call. And though I think that many readers will love the books and they are great for getting young girls to read on their own they might not be best books out there for kids. Over all the book is pretty clean but there is quite a bit of talking about killing and evil doings. But its to the point that I tell parents to look through the book before you let your child read it. And make sure you talk to them about it. Its up to every parent on their own what they do and do not let their children read but I would advise you to please take a look in to this and made the call yourself.
Over all I think it is a really good even if it is on the darker side and that the art is of course breathtaking and wonderful. Fans of the first book will not be let down with this.

Book:Wish ( Faerieground #1)
First off I would like to say that yes this is younger than YA. But I like to do younger reviews here and there.I would like to say that the art in this book is beautiful and I have to say the best part of the book. It is was beautiful and creative.it was a very cool mix of different kinds of art and I think that readers will love it. The whole art of books and the way it is done makes me think of books like Hugo and Wonderstruck.I feel that many fans of those books will love this.I had read in some reviews that people found this book better than Wonderstuck or Hugo and I have to disagree. This book was very good but I think that those are beautiful masterpieces.BUt I really liked this one. It had a very real feeling behind it. I have to say that I love how its told from both girls point of views. It adds a nice almost poem like feel to the book.I liked a lot of things about this book and feel that younger readers would like it as well. It would be a great book for young readers who do not like to read yet and like darker fairy stories. There is something really cool here with the friendship and the way that the story is told. I think that it is one that girls will fall in love with. I find it so nice to read a story for young girls that tells them how much they can hurt a friend when they kiss or flirt with their friends crush. Its handled very nicely in this book.
But to tell the truth I was rather let down by the end. I was hoping for something ... different. I felt like the book had such a good start that I would have liked a good ending as well. And one that did not just lead in the next book.I wish that there might have been a little twist. Something that I did not see coming.
Still I feel like young readers will really like it. I know I would have when I was younger. It would make a wonderful gift.

Aliens On Vacation
this book is a little young to be YA. but it is so cute and fun and really what a nice kids book should be that I just love it. I can see why disney is going to make it in to a movie. just a really good book.
how did I find this book? well my library found it for me. she was going to read it with her daughter. how did she get the book? well the guy who wrote this, his mom lives in my home town. and knows my library. and my mom. so with that a side this book is so cute and I just loved it. do you know how hard it is to find a good kids book like this? well there are a lot out there because more people right for kids then YA. and I can see why. books like this will have kids beging and crying and yelling for more. I know what I want to one of them to. and that I will go out of my way to see this movie when it comes out. has a story like this been told before? yes. but not with aliens on VAK. and whats wrong with the fack that the story has been used before. It is very good with books like this one. when done right like this one is. so if you every want to read a kids book or have a little kid friend that is 8 and up give them this book. and tell them to just read it. they will love it. unless they hate aliens and to laught and all books. and everything that is good and beautiful. it they have any or all of these then you will never find a gift for them. If they love all that is good and beautiful and like aliens and to laught and have a good time then get them this book right here.

Book:Theodosia:Theodosia& The Serpents Of Chaos(#1)

My dad found this book on line and even though it looked a little young to be YA he still emailed the info on it to me because he had read so many good reviews. And those review I have to say were spot on.
I LOVED IT! it turned out to be a really great book.It had everything a book.Theo is great. She is smart, funny and easy to love.
Had a very hard time putting it down. And for an older teen to feel that way about a "kids" book says a lot. it is a very smart book.I felt like I was not only having a great time reading it but that I was learning a little bit too. Which was awesome. I get so tried of books either being just light fluff or so sad and real world that after reading it I want to hide in bed for 3 days.
I think that this is great book for almost all readers.Even if like me you were a little older.I know that if I had read this as a child I would have been dying for the next book.It would have been a book I read more than once. Which means it will be a great gift for any young reader. And if a parent is looking a good book to read out loud to your child this one will be one that you will enjoy as well. It has a good story is fun and a joy to read. if you like Enola Holmes you will just love theo! it is one of the best books ever!! if you do not like to read read this if you do like to read read this! the book is great for ever one! It is a book that I feel like everyone will be reading in a year or so. a true jem of book.

Books: The Mysterious Benedict Society #1

This is one of the best books I have read. It is just the right mix of everything it is smart, sweet, full of story and its action packed. If you have looked at it and ever thought about reading it I say go for it. might be a little hard to get in to but the book is well worth it.
This is a book that older kids will like as well as younger readers. When it comes to the younger reads I would say that parents make time to read the book or at least the first 50 pages out loud to your child or children. This is a book that parents will like just as much as the kids. And reading out loud with your kids is a great way to show them that you care and reading is fun. Plus it brings you together and can help them in school. This book is really a keeper. It is fresh and fun and one of the best books I have read since the Harry Potter books. The Characters are beautifully written. I found that I could not put the book down once I got past page 50. It was just the right mix of everything. If you have not heard of this book you are crazy a much read!
