Book: Find Me

This book had a wonderful start giving me much hope that it would be something wonderful and memorable.  The writing drew me in right away. I have never read anything else by  Ms Bernard but her writing was very strong. In moments of action she really pulled you in and knew the timing and pacing of it very well.  It was her story telling that needed work. There is so much to the story that was just... off. Nothing about the story seemed to be coming from the heart.  The forced love story drove me mad! Most people think that you have to have a love story to get YA readers or else your story will be totally unsellable. But in the case of this book I feel that if the love story was cut out all together you would have a much better chance at getting readers.
Also if the book had know felt like a rip off of all the other poplar YA books out there I would have liked it.  If you are going to rip off other poplar books that pretty much everyone has read then you need to at the very least do it with a good character leading the story. I did like somethings about Wicked but the fact that she did not go and get help at some points in this book drove me crazy. And the fact that she stayed pretty much the same person from start to finish. Also though I did love the hacking part of the story it felt pretty weak at times. and I found it hard to believe that Wicked was this great hacker. A lot of what she did seemed to be on the more basic side of hacking.
But what I did like about Wicked was how she was a nice mix of being that strong- kick-butt main character and the softer sweeter main character. In that sense she felt real. And since so many YA authors seem to miss that when writing a main character it was really nice to see that Ms. Bernard got that right.
 But there are many things I did like in the book. Like some of the twist even if I did kinda see them coming. Or Lily. I really liked her.  And the mystery part of the story was great.  The way the diary was worked into the story was awesome.
Over all I think fans of Mysteries or readers who need a break from the fluffy reads ( but who don't want to jump in to really hard heavy stuff ) will like this. Is this book flawed yes - but the flaws do not take away from the points of the book.

Book:Spies and Prejudice

As you can guess from the title this is not the work like that of Jane Austin's.Really it reminds me more of Alley Carter's books to be honest.and as you all know I love my Alley Carter books.To me this had a lot of that same spirt to it. Its fun, light, a little unbelievable and a nice to start the summer off with. A good book to read when you need a little break from all the heavy stuff out there. And I have to say who does not like a book about a girl who is payed to spy on people. And i really like the humor in this. Mary Chris Moss. It might take a minute to get it. But its very funny. The book is very funny.
So Berry might be a little hard to get used to I found my self really liking her the more I read. And though the book has a little bit of a rough start its gets much better and really comes in to its own the more you read. I found my self getting really in to it. It made me think of some of the crime shows on TV like castle or NCIS a little bit. And as a big fan of those kind of shows reading a book that felt similar was fun.
Something that I found very interesting is that this along with a lot of other books movies and TV shows seem to be on this story kick about the main character solving their parents death. And I was kinda shocked by it in this book. I really did like the book and the story but for me that whole storyline  is getting pretty old pretty quick. And one tiny silly thing (that I just have to point out is) the  problem with is the whole homeschooling thing. Unless you live under a rock most homeschool kids do just fine when they go to school. Being homeschooled does not mean that you are a friendless idiot like so many people believe.I understand it in this book but really writers you ned wise up.
And then somewhere after that the book went a little over the top making it a little hard to believe. Its more of a humor book than a spy book to be honest. But I liked it. A lot. Its a fun read. If you are looking for a real your not going to find it here. This is just a nice fun read. And in a lot of ways that is really refreshing. THis book did not try to be something it was not.
And Some times with reading all of these books its nice just to read something light and fun and get a good kick out of it. which is what this was. And taking it for what it was it was good and I think that people who are a fan of spy humor will really like this.And fine as refreshing as I did.

Book:Ruby Red

I have wanted to read this book for a long time but have never had a chance to. So after one of my fellow bloggers  ( who is co-reviewing it with me) read it and really liked it i knew I had to give it a try. And truth be told it was a breath of fresh air to the both of us. For my Co-reviewer it was a good young adult book that boys could read as well.He has a very hard time finding non-girlie books to read and review. And it was something  I liked about it too. it was not all about finding true love. for once the book was about what it should be. which was time travel and Gwen. And I loved it. Gwen was just the right mix of funny,witty and normal teen with a little weird running through her. The book made me think of Harry Potter in some ways. Like that it was very enjoyable. I felt good reading it and I did not want to put it down. Both of us felt that way about the book. It was so different from these dark hard to read YA books that are everywhere. It was a book that I feel like almost anyone would like. It is something boys and girls will like. Its pretty clear so some of the younger readers can read it but I think that the older ( 15 and up) will like it just as much. Its clear why its an international best seller.
And I loved the time travel in this book. It was like the classic time travel stuff.And the time travel was the story. the writer did her job. I have not read it in german but I have to say that yes its not beautiful writing that melts your heart but does it really need to be? You are reading this book for fun.To get away.
It really was a very fun book to read full of everything a young adult book should be. And the best part was that after reading it you feel great ( and that you really should have the next book in your hands).I would say that this is a must read for just about everyone.

Book:Revolution

I have wanted to tea d this book since it first came out but never felt the real call to read it.
So when I saw it at the library a few weeks ago I thought what the hell I have nothing to lose at this point.
And I have to say this is one of the best books I have ever read. no its not a great classic but it really touches the heart. and for me the story of these two girls and how strong they are moves me. I just feel in love with both of them. yes at points it was hard to read because I did not always like what was going on ( I really love the big hollywood ends - so sue me). but the words and how they talk about music moved me so much. I want to go through the book again just to listen to all the music they talk about.
At times I felt like I could reach out and touch them. I could feel what they felt in my heart and soul. very few YA books really do that. something else I loved about this book was that it was not about another love sick teenager ( I know we all love them but it can get a little old). the love in this book was a different kind of true love.
there are so many things we can learn from this. That we are all going through are own hell but we have to find away to work through it. I think this is a book that anyone will learn something from. even if you don't like this kind of book. it is one that will move you. so if you can really read it. it is something that you should try. I my self can not wait to reread it- which means its very good because I never reread.

TV Show: Sherlock

I saw this show thanks to netflix. A friend said that they saw the show and loved it. So I watched.
and lets just say Im head over heals with the show. it is so well made and so funny. and I just love it. thought Im a fan of almost anything that has to do with sherlock Holmes. I love enola holmes. the old sherlock holmes the new ones with Downy Jr. and I love love this show. it is so good. One of the best things about this show is how people ask if Sherlock and John are together. and they talk about how holmes to a point is off the wall. how with out a case he is bored.
and I also like how real it is. How this is what would happen if sherlock where here now. at first I did not like the idea of them messing with sherlock. and I think that they do nothing but good. what I am scared of is the USA show. I don't think that the USA will do it any good. the show is set to air on CBS some time soonish.  I love it and can not wait to see the new ones of the show! it is almost killing me to have to wait!
If you can watch the show! its so great.

I can not get a age rating on the show. So I must give you mine. I say 14 and up. there are deaths. and some crimes with kid (s). there are some nail biting times.

Book:Hourglass

I found this book at the library and wanted to read it because of the cover, which I think is awesome. and as for the story it have been along time since I have read something like this. I don't normally read things that have to do with ghosts or time-travel. I find it hard to do a good job with ghost or time-travel because it is a hard thing to do.  But this book does a good job. I like the the characters, which is what kept me reading. the story was not always the strong point of the book. but that was okay because Em was. and I think that worked out fine. my only thing with Em is that at points she seems like every other girl you read about in YA books. she had me thinking of girls from Meg Cabot's books.  and I think that the feeling went on as she started to hang out with mike it started to feel like like manny of Ms.Cabot's books. I like that feel and all I  would like to see some thing that is not the same from these YA writers. I mean is it so hard to write a girl that is not like ever one you read about. but on up side with this one was at least the bad guy was not like all of the ones you read about. and  I liked Dru. she was pretty cool and I liked how she loved Em so much and was so nice and how she would stop Thomas doing things because she was believe it is just like the same thing. And I have to say I liked everyone else in the book and I really liked the story. I thought it was well done. One thing I did not like was how people call this book a mystery.  I think it had mystery in the book but it is not a mystery. if we call every book that a little mystery then there would be more mystery book out there then anyone could even think of. I liked the story and the idea. I liked the way that kept you want more.  I think that it was smart how the whole time travel thing worked in the book and I thought the whole idea of the way that she did it was awesome.This book did the was slow but  i think it worked better for it to be that way. normally i think that the timing in a book is so hard to get right. but I found that this one did it right.  the the time went with the book and very thing happened in the story at the right time. And since the book is about time it was a good thing everything was  on time.
Over all a really good book. I think that it is a good read.

Book:The Invention of Hugo Cabret

Well a couple of years ago a friend gave me a signed copy of this book i started it but never finished it until the book club at my library had picked the book for that months read.Now on to the book, Brian Selznick created a vary odd and new way of telling his great story the tons of pictures and words, also he splits the book in to two parts.  the first of witch has to reading non stop till you get the answer to the question ask the role first half then when you get the answer you will then have to read the second half to understand it it and trust me you like it. the writing is vary well done the pictures are AMAZING, but it's one of the only books i know to have Rights at the end do to having Photos form old silent movies. do yourself a favor and read this book. the story is fantastic and evolves so well that you will fall in love with it. and when your done reading this you should go read his other book Wonder Struck which i will be posting a review of shortly.

Book: Uncommon Criminals

I loved the first book so I was over the moon to hear about this one. I and how could I know when the news was going nuts that that these books where going to be made in to a movie. and that Drew Barrymore  was going to be a part of it. I have a good friend how has also read these books and would love to play Kat in the movies so I had to read a lot about what the plans are for the movie and stuff.
But anyway on to the book. I have to say I really liked it. It was not  like the first in a lot of ways. In the first one it was more like  a spy movie. They way the group comes together. This one is more like  the not so hot  movie that follows. It was a lot like you would think the sequel to Heist society would be. it should us more of the ups and downs. the things you have to give up to be in this kind of job. and in that way it was like the downer end of a sequel. But that does not mean I did not like it.I really liked it. I thought it was well down. But what I am saying is that I think more people are going to say it is okay. where as with the first everyone was like " I love this book!" and everyone was going nuts for it. I hope that that the unlucky 3 does not hit on the next book though because that would kill the series.
but one thing that happened a lot in the book was some times I would I liked it and sometimes loved it. It was very funny and it was very hard core at times. And we got to see a much harder side of Kat. We also got to see her when she thought she had messed up big time.  I also liked to see her and Hale and how things went down with them.and how they had to act about it when there was a job going on.  At times I found my self forgetting how old she was. she is 15. and yes she did have a lot of hard things and yes she did have to grow up a lot. but she seemed more like 16 to me. one year might not seem like a lot to the every day reader but one year can make or make some one. like look at what happens to you in a year. you grew up more. I think Kat should have been just one year older. but maybe that is just me. I really liked the book over all. I thought the case was really cool. and not something I have read about before. What I wish there would have been more of  is having Kat have to lean on her team a little more. but I am  very happy with the way everyone has there own voice. So many times you see  in sequel every one starts to have the same voice. I liked how it made it clear that everyone was who they are. and as always who does not love Kat? she is strong,smart, and well a lot like a Cat. she likes to be on her own but when she finds some one she can trust she trys to stay with them. I that this book does a good job of  showing us more of this world. I  also love all of the code names. Jack and Jill. I would like to know what they are though. hopefully that will be in the next book. that in a one thing I did miss was a note from the the writer. In the last one she had a note to the reader telling you about the case and what true what was not and why she picked it to be the case. I feel that is was lame on her part not to do that for the readers. it is always nice when the writer of a book takes the time to write us ( the reader ) a note.
Over all it was great. it was not all around the best book I have ever read but it was not trying to be. and I like that.

Movie:The Ghost Writer

I love this movie. I have not read this book. and would not have watch this if it was not for my dad telling me I had to see it.he had read the book and was dieting to see the movie. so I watched it. and I have to say I loved it. my fave thing about this movie other then the awesome story was the lighting. it was awesome. and this  movie was great over all. I don't think many people who do not live for movies have seen it but really you should see it, even if you do not like it or care for it watch it. because it shows us where movies could go. it shows us  where we have the power to take a film. this movie was for the most part stand alone. I have never seen a film or read a book like this one.  and I loved the acting. this film was great. a must see. so cool.I think the story is well done and  over all it comes off really real.

Book: Across the Universe

Now as geeky as it is to say I love Si-Fi. But not any. The good stuff that shows us what it is like to human. And what are we doing. Are we right? Are we wrong? Could we do it better? And this book did that. It ask so many things. An it did it right. Only thing is I don't know if in the wrong hands this book could make some bad things are. But anyway this book is great! Things are hard to read in this at points. it was great and just what Si-Fi should be. I have a feeling that Beth is going to be a great YA writer. this book is one of my New faves.  i just love this book. it was so good. it is a must read for any one who likes any thing Si-Fi. it is just great. I loove it so much!even though i saw the end coming.  still it is a have to read. just great. if it was not for the name i would say make it in to a movie. call it Amy or Godspeed. over great.really read it. it will change your life. the only down to this book is that is the wrong hands it could change the world in some every bad ways. but let us hope that will not happen.

Book: Enola Holmes: The Case Cryptic Crinoline

 This book is great. it is sweeter  then  any of the any  of the other books.  I loved it. but not as much as some of the other books. but I loved ever word of this book.  this one was not like the other books. And I like that. you get Enola in a NEW  book in so many ways.   I like it. the story is like nothing I have ever read ! in a good way.  really a most read.
 It is not like the  trashy books you see and read ever day. This is one of the books you can not help but  love from page one. The book is one ever one should have. It is just like the really Sherlock Holmes books.

Book: Enola Holmes: The Case Of The Bizarre Bouquets (#3)

  I have waited a long time to read this book. I was waiting for book 6 to come out. as some of you know, I love the Enola Holmes books deeply.  and this one is by far the best yet.  the story was like no other! I just loved it! I had to get started on book 4 right way. this good is one that ever one will love. It will be a book people love for ever. like Nancy drew. Ever one reads them and loves them. this book is one I can see my self reading over and over and over again.
with out Enola I would not have seen the new movie. and if you like the movie then you will love the books ten times more!
This is a book every one should have in there homes and libraries! it is just the best! Enola is my new fav heroine of all times!   she shows us that girls  do not need a man or any one to live there lives. her stories takes to new places show us new things!
 IF YOU HAVE NOT YOU NEED TO READ ALL THE ENOLA HOLMES BOOKS! THEY ARE THE BEST!

Book:Magic Under Glass

When I read the title I thought what a great name. but then as I read it i did not think that. the book is full of magic!it tells a story of fairies VS. humans. And what is right and wrong. and what I got out of it is that just because some one is not like you does not mean they are wrong.  it is a story that had me thinking. it made me think about things in a new way. Nimira did not look at fairies as bad but she looked at them as living things. which is what we should all be doing too. she saw what no one else did. and she did what she though was right. In this book they tell a story about a wall. it sound like some thing you know about? well it should. it is just like the really life wall. and if you read this book I hope you get out what I got out of it. what I got out was that some thing like a wall should never happen. we need to see with our hearts more. that is what Nimira did. it is a really good book. if I liked it or loved it is unknown to me as of now. and I also felt that is was a lot like Jane Eyre which I really liked. I felt like it was a twisted and it worked well.  other then being a little on the short side I really did like this book.
This is a book for all Gemma Doyle lovers.Also the Jane Erye feel is pretty cool. but it has more love then Gemma. It  has so much magic that I felt like I was a magic my self. and I think that if the name or cover catches your eye then i say its a must grab.

My dad found this book on line and even though it looked a little young to be YA he still emailed the info on it to  me because he had read so many good reviews. And those review I have to say were spot on.
I LOVED IT! it turned out to be a really great book.It had  everything a book.Theo is great.She is  smart,funny and easy to love.
Had a very hard time putting it down. And for an older teen to feel that way about a "kids" book says a lot.  it is a very smart book.I felt like I was not only having a great time reading it but that I was learning a little bit too. Which was awesome. I get so tried of books either being just light fluff or so sad and real world that after reading it I want to hide in bed for 3 days.
 I think that this is great book for almost all readers.Even if like me you were a little older.I know that if I had read this as a child I would have been dying for the next book.It would have been a book I read more than once. Which means it will be a great gift for any young reader. And if a parent is looking a good book to read out loud to your child this one will be one that you will enjoy as well. It has a good story is fun and a joy to read.  if you like Enola Holmes you will just love theo! it is one of the best books ever!! if you do not like to read read this if you do like to read read this! the book is great for ever one! It is a book that I feel like everyone will be reading in a year or so. a true jem of book.

I loved it! one of the best books I have ever read!!!!!! and I mean it!!! I could not put it down!!!! all I could do was read it!!!! I love it!!! the way nancy did it was great!! you never knew how Enola was going to do it!!! I could not stop reading it!! the way she wrot it !! Enola was smart and fun to read about. it was like magic with out it really be there if yyou know what I mean. she is great!!!! and yes you are think "daydreamer says that all the time that books are good. how do I know this one is?" well read it. that is all I can say. it is great!! read it and you will know what I mean!!! I've read lot of books. and believe this is one of the best!!! read it!!! you will love it!!!I love only very very good books. and this is one of them!! I say ever YA read should read this books!!! I love it and you will love it! A must read book for EVERY one! this is a book that you will not want to put down! EVER!

Books: The Mysterious Benedict Society #1

This is one of the best books I have read. It is just the right mix of everything it is smart,sweet, full of story and its action packed. If you have looked at it and ever thought about reading it I say go for it. might be a little hard to get in to but the book is well worth it.
This is a book that older kids will like as well as younger readers. When it comes to the younger reads I would say that parents make time to read the book or at least the first 50 pages out loud to your child or children. This is a book that parents will like just as much as the kids. And reading out loud with your kids is a great way to show them that you care and reading is fun. Plus it brings you together and can help them in school. This book is really a keeper. It is fresh and fun and one of the best books I have read since the Harry Potter books. The Characters are beautifully written. I found that I could not put the book down once I got past page 50. It was just the right mix of everything. If you have not heard of this book you are crazy a much read!

Book: Enola Holmes:The Case Of The Missing Marquess(#1)

I loved it!It was fun to read. Enola Homles is a fun girl.  She is a character hat  both Boys and Girls will like. it is a little hard to get in to, but once you read page 50 you will not want to put it down.  it read is a must read.  Nancy Springer is a great writer and one that I feel does right by the name SHerlock Holmes.I don't think even the worlds biggest Sherlock Holmes fan would not like this book or thing is does right by Sherlock Holmes. Nancy Springer has a way of writing that some say is has died away in most YA books that you read. If you are looking for a book to lie in bed on a snowy day it is this book. I love it I have loved mysteries all my life. I have watch all the Agatha Chistie movies and I am going to read her books. some Sherlock Holmes I say that this is one of the best books I have ever read!!
